For three years I traveled through every city street in Lansing, MI. There were quite a few reasons why I decided to take that journey. One was the magnificent scope of it. I love a challenge. Another was the ability to highlight so many fantastic places and businesses that I never would have known about. Since this was a photographic journey I think my favorite part of City Saunter was the ability to find a great location to take future clients for their photography sessions. I now have a database of locations all over Lansing. Recently I became aware of a new location. It wasn't exactly brand new, but it was a location in Lansing that few had witnessed before. For twenty five years it had been closed off to the public because it had been contaminated by a nearby business. During these twenty five years of isolation the land somehow cleansed itself. A few years ago the city got the a-okay to reopen this park. With a bit of grant funding the Ralph W. Crego Park unlocked the gate and let the community explore this gorgeous lake front property. I would like to add this gorgeous nature center to my location database. It would be perfect for an engagement shoot, a family shoot, a child shoot or even a wedding session.
