In only a few more days 2015 will come to a close. I always enjoy looking back through my photography folders, checking out each month photography; a visual diary. These are some of my favorites from throughout the year.

My daughter is one of my favorite subjects. She is usually a good sport when asked to be my model, even if it snowing and cold outside.

On two separate occasions I photographed sunsets that were amazing. Despite being shot in the winter months the colors of deep orange, reds and yellows created such warm images.

By spring time the lovely greens were coming in strong. I took a wonderful walk in my yard and found these beautiful greens. I made prints and they hang in my bathroom.

In May I was asked to photograph the first RedPaddle kayak race. As I positioned myself along the Red Cedar and Grand Rivers I was able to capture dynamic images of misty greens and adventurous athletes making their way to the Lansing City Market from East Lansing.

The rest of spring presented opportunities to do Easter shoots,

A trip to MSU Children Butterfly Garden.

And lovely beach trips to Holland and Petoskey.

In June I was brought in last minute to shoot an image that eventually ended up on a Mid Michigan billboard marketing a local children theater group.

As the summer began the senior portrait sessions and family sessions started up as well. One of my favorite sessions was with a sweet little girl turning 1. Her mom brought bubble machines and balloons. I think I might have had more fun than the sweet little girl!

One of my other favorites was a maternity shoot for a client I've had for quite a while. We ventured out to Francis Park on a warm, muggy summer day.

My family also took a few day trips including trying the Traverse City Cherry Fest for the first time

And headed to Belle Island in Detroit for the first time too.

We also helped my sister and brother in law move to their new home in Holland. The excitement we had that day was a wonderful view of a hot air balloon over head just as we finished up.

Back in Lansing we attended Scrap Fest in Old Town

Art Attack in REO Town,

And Be a Tourist in Your Own Town.

September seemed to be a very busy month for me with more senior portraits

And my first experience shooting the Hawk Island Triathlon.

I was also the photographer for the Sparrow Foundation Spartan Marching Band for Kids Concert where both Tom Izzo and Mark Dantonio made a stop.

Being a part of this event is something I enjoy very much! I was even able to get Tom to sign my Heart of A Spartan book.

The fall brought some amazing sights including an eclipse of a full moon causing a red moon

Trips to some local orchards, including Uncle John Cider Mill

And Clearview Orchards.

I had the opportunity to photograph some amazing weddings as well! My favorite was one held on Halloween and all the attendees and participants dressed up!

My son also got married in October and they also had a themed wedding. It must be the thing to do! I was able to get this photo of my twins who were part of the wedding.

As fall fell into wintery photography I was able to capture the beauty of family, including mine,

And was honored to photograph my client's new baby and create their holiday card photographs.

That's that! I am so excited about starting a new year, watching my photography folders fill up with images of my friends and family. I look forward to photographing your family, creating keepsakes of your memories, and providing amazing images of your events.

Thank you for a wonderful year!
Happy New Year!
